Comments. Measuring 28” long fully extended this item has a metal shovel assembly and a hard wood handle. The blade is stamped” US, WOOD, 1944” and it comes with what appears to be its original canvas case with belt loop clip. You turn the large round nut at the top of the handle to loosen the blade section so that it can fold inward and can go into its case. The original paint has wear, shade variations and missing sections. The shovel is in sturdy shape with no apparent breaks having normal use wear, has some minor surface rust and has some soiling/stains. The case is in sturdy shape with normal use wear, soiling/stains, some minor thread wear and could use a good cleaning. A nice vintage shovel that is still handy while camping, for in the car or an addition to your military collection.

To save our bidders time, our system is desgined to accept "maximum bids."
A "maximum bid" is the highest bid you are willing to place on an item.
Our system will automatically bid for you, in the required increments, up to your "maximum bid."
The initial bid placed for you will be only as high as required to outbid any current bidders should your "maximum bid" be highest.
This means that you will always pay the minimum price required to "win" an item, and not necessarily your "maximum bid"
**NOTE: In the event that your maximum bid ties a previously left maximum bid, the previously left maximum bid will prevail.
**If you are the current High Bidder, entering another "Maximum Bid" will simply adjust your current "Maximum Bid" to the new amount providing it is higher than the "Current Bid". You are allowed to increase or decrease your "Maximum Bid"
