ANTIQUE CAUCASIAN TRIBAL RUNNER
Age 100 years
Size: 26 1/2” wide x 13' long
Comments: This wool runner is both woven and knotted in a nice geometric pattern typical to rugs from this region of origin, the areas of the Caucasus Mountains, which links modern day Turkey and Iran. The rich history of symbolism is apparent in these antique tribal rugs. The field is woven in an ivory color and the knotted pattern and borders have colors of indigo, violet (faded from a more saturated purple color), red, orange and burgundy. As pretty and colorful as this Caucasian runner is, it receives a rating of 6 for some issues it has. It is faded and as you can see in our photo, one side is longer than the other. It also has some wear and an 1 1/2” hole at one end. The edge binding also has random losses.

To save our bidders time, our system is desgined to accept "maximum bids."
A "maximum bid" is the highest bid you are willing to place on an item.
Our system will automatically bid for you, in the required increments, up to your "maximum bid."
The initial bid placed for you will be only as high as required to outbid any current bidders should your "maximum bid" be highest.
This means that you will always pay the minimum price required to "win" an item, and not necessarily your "maximum bid"
**NOTE: In the event that your maximum bid ties a previously left maximum bid, the previously left maximum bid will prevail.
**If you are the current High Bidder, entering another "Maximum Bid" will simply adjust your current "Maximum Bid" to the new amount providing it is higher than the "Current Bid". You are allowed to increase or decrease your "Maximum Bid"
