MINIATURE STONEWARE “MOTTO” JUG

Age. More than 40 years old
Composition. Stoneware
Size. 4 ½” high x 2 and ¾” wide/deep
Rating: 7
Comments. Made of stoneware it is stamp” Motto Jug, As I go up the hill of prosperity may I never meet a friend” which was distributed by the Dietrich Distilling Company of Dayton, Ohio. It has a tan base glaze with a dark brown glaze on the top as well as in the inside. It has a loop handle, tapered sides and a slight edge band on the top. This jug is in sturdy shape with normal use wear, has some minor manufacturing/glaze imperfections and has a small chip on the base as well as on the handle. Give it a cleaning and will make a nice decorative item in your home as well as a mini addition to your stoneware collection.
