DESCRIPTION (3) ROYAL DOULTON TOBY MUGS Rating: 8 Comments. Made of porcelain these Toby mugs vary in size and are more than 40 years old. The lot includes a 5 ¼ " high" Happy John" which appears to be dated 1987 as well as a 5 ¼ " high"Falstaff" both of which have an outstretched arm with a cup of their favorite beverage and a 4 ¼ " high" Rip van Winkle". All have a large loop handle, hand painted features with vivid colors and a pinched pour spout on the top.
