(2) PIECES MAPPIN & WEBB PRINCESS PLATE DINNERWARE

Age: 80+ years

Size: See comments

Rating: 8

Comments: This lot includes two exquisite pieces of English silver triple plate made by Mappin & Webb. They are marked on the bottom Prince's Plate, London & Sheffield. Oval entree dish tureen and food warmer sits on four small bun feet and is 7 1/2 wide and 11 long. It stands 6 tall including the lid handle. It has two removable liners, one pierced. A few tiny dents in the solid liner and impressions on the base from the bun feet but otherwise tarnish is it's only fault. Plating is still bright. The second piece, a breakfast server, is also Prince's Plate but the stamp is harder to read. It too is oval 4 3/4 x 8 standing 5 3/4 high. It has four fluted legs with paw bases and a hinged disappearing roll top dome with small handle. The dome moves freely and the inside has a removable pierced liner. It has no dents, damage or plate loss. Both these pieces are heavy and high quality. Perfect for your special occasions.

Maximum Bidding

To save our bidders time, our system is desgined to accept "maximum bids."
A "maximum bid" is the highest bid you are willing to place on an item.
Our system will automatically bid for you, in the required increments, up to your "maximum bid."
The initial bid placed for you will be only as high as required to outbid any current bidders should your "maximum bid" be highest.
This means that you will always pay the minimum price required to "win" an item, and not necessarily your "maximum bid"

**NOTE: In the event that your maximum bid ties a previously left maximum bid, the previously left maximum bid will prevail.

**If you are the current High Bidder, entering another "Maximum Bid" will simply adjust your current "Maximum Bid" to the new amount providing it is higher than the "Current Bid". You are allowed to increase or decrease your "Maximum Bid"
