Comments. Dated May 18, 1811 this is The Company Book for the Waltham Militia that was commanded by Capt. Stearns. It contains the names as well as ranks of all the people in the militia along with other pertinent information about them as well as what appears to be their original signatures. Also included are the names of the officers, soldiers and even the musicians. It appears the last entry dated 1832 and approximately only one third of the book is written. All of the entries are mainly bold and all are quite readable. This book is in sturdy shape with a detached front cover, page browning, exterior wear and soiling/stains.
