1898 GEOLOGICAL SURVEY BOOK (WITH MAPS)

Comments: This string bound cloth covered book is entitled “Eighteenth Annual Report of the United States Geological Survey to the Secretary of the Interior 1896-1897”. It is part II (of five), papers chiefly of a theoretic Nature. Washington Government Printing Office, 1898. It includes 653 pages of text, maps (some color), drawings and black and white photographs. There is also a sleeve in the back with a foldout map. It has some wear to the spine extremes, torn pages and wear and looseness to the binding. A few subjects include Glaciers of Mt Rainier, Triassic formation of Connecticut, Geology of the Edwards Plateau, Recent earth movement in the Great Lakes region and geology of the Cape Cod district.
